Where would you go to find a fuchsia that could really tolerate heat? In the jungle of course! That is where Suntory looked to find fuchsias growing in the hottest part of their natural range. They took those plants, crossed them with garden fuchsias and Angel Earrings were born.
Others have claimed to have heat tolerant fuchsias, but these are the first. Pink/Purple Cascading and Pink/White Snowfire exhibit the traditional trailing form, while Pink/Purple Dainty grows with an upright habit. All look great in containers and window boxes. But, they are so tough, they can be used in the garden to make great specimen plants, even borders.
