For the Gardener:
Water promptly after planting to seal in roots. Water again every couple of days until roots have grown into the neighboring soil. Flowers are produced in such abundance that removal of old flowers is not necessary. They branch so readily that pinching is not needed, although a pinch early in their growth may be helpful.
For the Commercial Grower:
Use one well-rooted cutting per 4-4 1/2" pot. Use 3 well-rooted cuttings per 10" pot or basket. Use 4-5 well-rooted cuttings to produce a premium 10" hanging basket.
When planting, be sure that the crown of the plant is at the soil line of the pot. Rooted plugs should be handled carefully so that foliage is not damaged.
May be mixed with other plants to make attractive color bowls.
In order to stimulate lateral branching, we suggest that a pinch be given as soon as the plants reach the edge of the growing container or the roots reach the bottom of the pot, whichever occurs first. A soft tip pinch is best.
