For the Gardener:
In areas where Tapien Verbena are used as a permanent groundcover, a weed whacker can be used to trim off old growth and flower heads in the winter. That way the new growth will quickly cover the dormant, brown foliage of winter.
 
 
For the Commercial Grower:
Verbena will spread well without any pinching, deadheading or pruning. No growth regulators are needed.
